LD said she had never learned about Christianity before. She was moved when Loren helped them settle in February. I gave her the “Song of a Wanderer” along with other Christian literature as she wanted to read in her leisure time. VT and family attended our weekly gatherings regularly, and JR’s Christian mom C has been encouraging LD to trust Jesus and pray. We three have been studying the Bible and praying weekly. In early July, LD was able to know Jesus is God and came to save us, but not ready to receive Him yet. The author of “Song of a Wanderer” was the speaker at a Chinese Church retreat here July 29th to 31st. VT’s family had planned a tour to Yellowstone National Park, but had to cancel it. LD responded to the call and prayed to accept Jesus on July 30th!
I can see it is the work of the Holy Spirit to open LD's heart through Loren's service, the "Song of a Wanderer", other Christian literature, C and also me. Also, the Author of the book happened to be the speaker of the church retreat. I was praying and hoping VT and her family will stay here during the retreat weekend, but they had decided to visit Yellowstone. However, they need to cancel the trip because of a dental visit of VT's daughter which was rescheduled to much later anyway.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. Acts 17: 26, 27
