The work of the Holy Spirit

R is a visiting scholar in Engineering. He said his mom is a Christian, but he had never been in Church before. As staying with a Pastor's family here, he went to Church with them for a few time. He was not interested in and did not continue to go to church, and it is difficult for him to understand it because of English.

However, I put him in my March newsletter and asked people to pray for him. He joined our outing of a Chinese Christian concert and after that, he asked me the basic belief of Christian faith. I invited him for a weekly Bible study and he was open for that. I continue to ask people to pray for him, but the first two Bible studies I was disappointed because he kept silent most of the time.

The third one is about sin and I prayed more than before that R and Z (a student's mom) will somehow grasp the idea of sin instead of being offended. Four days after our Bible study, R told me it is interesting to learn about sin and he is going to study the Bible more. He wants to buy a Bible home and to learn about it.

I can see it is the work of the Holy Spirit to change R's heart. Please continue to pray for him, Z and C that they will accept our Lord as their savior. R also mentioned he is a communist cannot be a Christian. Pray R will treasure our Lord more than anything else.

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 1 Cori. 3:6, 7
